Whether you’re cruising for chicks on the boardwalk, commuting to school, or just cruising around running errands, getting a board to suit your style is essential. Longboards come in varying lengths.

Longboard skateboards can also be used for downhill racing and slalom. They are heavier, longer boards built for speed, but there are a few choices you have to make when scoping out longboards skateboards:

• Select the deck size you are most comfortable with. Longboards come in a variety of lengths, but the general rule is to pick one that is about waist-high. Just make sure that yours is easy to carry around, so you aren’t struggling with the board.
• Go wide for street surfing and narrow for downhill speed. While this isn’t a hard-and-fast rule, you will find that more streamlined boards give you better speed. Besides the width, you’ll find that the actual shape of board differs for each style of skating.
• Buy bearings, trucks and wheels that are built specifically for longboarding. Since this style of skating is vastly different from pulling off flip tricks in a skate park, you want to make sure all of the hardware works for your style of skating. An Anchor is a heavy object, often made of metal, which is used to secure a boat or floating vessel. There are different types of Boat Anchors, each having its own features that will suit a particular sea bottom and Sailboat. Efficient Anchoring is one skill that cruising sailors should know, for it means that the Sailboat can be secured even outside a mooring. An Anchor is a heavy, mechanical device used to secure a floating vessel. It comes in many types, each having its own features and drawbacks.

• Bruce Anchor - This has large flukes and is known to set quickly and stay buried when there is a change in Wind or current condition.
• Danforth Anchor - a lightweight, fluke-style anchor where broad flukes are hinged to a stock. It holds well on sand or mud. This is popular in small recreational boats. Another type similar to Danforth is the Fortress Anchor. The downside of fluke-style anchors is that they cannot be used in rock and sea grass bottoms.
• Fisherman’s Anchor - This is suitable to several kinds of bottoms such as heavy weed and rock. However, it is awkward to stow and carry because of its shape.
• Grapnel Anchor - This type is designed to hook under rocks.
• Plow Anchor - The CQR plow is an excellent example of this type. It digs deeply, holds well, and continues to hold when the boat turns.
• Northill Anchor - It digs deeply for a strong hold. This type is usually used by larger boats.

A golf glove is key to maintaining your grip. Maintaining a solid grip on a golf club can be difficult. Between the motion of the swing and the impact of the club hitting the ball, it is easy for the club to slightly twist or shift. The slight slip or twist on your hand will change the alignment of the club face to the golf ball, often causing a slice or a hook.
